THE ARTIST
I generally find myself painting on a digital canvas and discovered some time ago that the digital art medium is a powerful tool. When combined with traditional acrylic and inks, fastidiously worked onto birch wood panels using brush and palette knife to create bold and powerful colours, the visual impact is spectacular !!!
Inspiration is derived from images and photographs digitally manipulated with thanks to modern technology to create an entirely new work of art. It is an evolving process to which I try to capture only the essential characteristics in order to create a new body of work portraying my own ideal.
As far as style development goes, I tend to base my style from ideas, music, and visuals I might come across. In this magical art world of pixels, why not create something beautiful ?
Celebrate the human, the marks people make on the world. Treasure the local, the small-scale, the eccentric, the ordinary.
It’s all about the colour splash !!
